Whites Adopting Black Children
By Grisso
Here are 34 articles I wrote between November 1-15,
1996 on the subject of trans-racial adoption, more specifically, of whites adopting American African children.
These articles were contributions to the usenet newsgroup soc.culture.african.american.
The discussion was precipitated by a white South African, Hollie Hix, who
wrote to the group asking how people felt about the issue. My response, namely that trans-racial adoption wasn't
a good idea, triggered an interesting discussion that explored many aspects of this issue.
I was taken to task, not only by white liberals, which was not surprising,
but also by various shades of American African opinion.
Readers of Africans Unbound Magazine are invited to take a look at the exchange,
and make up their own minds on the issue.
I also invite readers who are in a position to do so to open their hearts
and families and adopt a child.
