A second-half Christiano Ronaldo towering header proved vital for Juventus as they came from behind twice to force a draw against Roma on Sunday in the Italian Serie A match played at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma edged pressure on the Serie A defending champions when they took the lead in the first 31 minutes of the game through Veretout who stepped up to convert a penalty after Rabiot handled the ball in the box.

The last minutes of the first half was full of drama as Juventus equalised in the 44th minute through Ronaldo from a penalty as well before Roma restored back their lead in added time of the first half when they broke the visitors on a counter-attack for Veterout to complete his brace.

In the second half, things turned out to be worse for Juventus as they were reduced to 10 men when Rabiot was shown a red card but Roma failed to take advantage of that to defend the lead as Ronaldo jumped high among three Roma defenders to equalized power and secure a point out of the game.

In another match, Napoli defeated Genoa by 6 goals. The humiliating damage was done in the second half when the home side managed to score five goals.

Lozano’s first-half goal was enough to give Napoli the lead by the break before he completed his brace in the second half with the home side securing maximum points with other goals from Zielinski, Mertens, Elmas and Politano.
AC Milan also received the bragging rights over the weekend with a 2-0 win over Crotone with goals from Kessie and Diaz.
