Be Forward Wanderers football club supporters have shown a good gesture to their players as they managed to give K134 000 to each player from the money they contributed.
The nomads supporters made the decision after the team’s sponsors, Be forward, a Japanese second hand car selling dealer, announced suspending sponsorship to the club for three months as business has gone down due to COVID-19.
Wanderers general secretary Victor Maunde has commended the supporters for the initiative done and has urged them to continue supporting the team financially.
“We are thankful to the supporters for the timely gift to the players and this is what it means to be a supporter of a club. We need more of these initiatives from them for the team to go forward,” he said.
The Lali Lubani side is also running an SMS promotion called NOMA YANGA which charges k50 per message to generate revenue for the club.
