Arsenal is a step away from winning the FA cup this season after defeating Manchester city 2-0 in the first semifinal crush played on Saturday at Wembley stadium.
The gunners were a better side from the early minutes of the first half and the attacking combination of Gabonese international Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Lacazette and wellock gave problems to the citizen’s back line.
With 19 minutes played, Arsenal took the lead through captain Aubameyang after receiving a good ball from Ivory coast international Nicolas Pepe, a goal they defended until the break.
In the second half, Manchester city tried to push for an equaliser but it was not meant to be as Arsenal defense was solid and misery continued for the visitors when Aubameyang completed his brace on the day for his side to win 2-0.
The win gives the gunners a chance to win the FA cup for the 14th time and will face the winner between Manchester united and Chelsea who play in the second semifinal on Sunday.
The loss complete a miserable 2019/20 season for Pep Guardiola and his men who will finish the season empty handed having failed to defend the FA cup and the English Premier League they won last season.
