Arsenal to face City as EPL returns

English Premier League (EPL) followers all over the world can afford to smile as the league is expected to restart on 17 June 2020 after the league was suspended on 13th of March 2020 due to the corona virus.

At a meeting held on Thursday, 28 May, EPL clubs voted for the restart date in three weeks for preparations as teams have already resumed training but in small groups giving hope to Liverpool to win the title after 30 years as they top the standings with 82 points from 29 games, 25 points clear of second placed Manchester City.

The restart project will come with guns blazing as two EPL giants Manchester City and Arsenal will face each other with Aston Villa hosting Sheffield United as they had games in hand with the other 16 teams restarting their 2019/20 season on the weekend of 19-21 June.

Leicester City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Wolves, Sheffield United, Tottenham Hotspurs and Arsenal will fight for places in next seasons European competitions while Bournemouth, Norwich City and Aston Villa will fight for survival in the league.
