Borussia Dortmund has been given an early wake up call to put their house in order in good time to challenge Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title in the 2020/21 season as they lost 2-0 to Augsburg on Saturday.
Both sides started the campaign on a good note last weekend as Dortmund defeated Monchengladbach 3-0 with Augsburg winning at Union Berlin and on Saturday Dortmund were in for trouble when Augsburg scored in each half to win the game.
Five minutes before the break, Uduokhai scored to put Augsburg in the lead before Caligiuri made it 2 in the 54th minute to hand Dortmund the defeat in the afternoon.
In other bundesliga matches in the afternoon, VFB Stuttgart and Arminia also registered wins against Mainz and FC Koln with the other games ending in draws.
