Second runners in the Vodacom Premier League title race this season 2019/20 Azam Football Club shows their support about matches in empty grounds.
Azam Football Club says there is no problem in playing the league behind closed doors once it resumes from the emergency break.
Vodacom Premier League is yet to resume as Tanzania Football Federation is waiting for an official statement from the Ministry of Health of whether to go on with the football activities or not.
“Playing without fans is a state of emergency since there is no other way. And when things are back to normal schedule we will go and play and win our matches.”
“We ask fans to stay indoors and safe at their homes, and listen to official statements and announcement from the Authorities,” says Azam Football Club spokesman Thabit Zakaria.
Azam Football Club is at second place in the Vodacom Premier League standings with 54 points after 28 matches.
