Bayern Munich football club suffered a humiliating first defeat in the 2020/21 Bundesliga season when they lost 4-1 against Hoffenheim today, Sunday, 27 September.
With a win from their first league match against Schalke 04 by an 8 goals margin, start striker Robert Lewandoski started on the bench which worked to the advantage of their opponents.
Hoffenheim opened the scoring in the 16th minute through Bicakcic before Dabour made it 2 just before the half-hour mark. The defending champions pulled one back before half time through Kimmich which gave themselves hope of a come back in the other half.
In the second half, the visitors gave no room to Bayern Munich to steal the show on the day as a second-half brace from Kramaric saw the end of Bayern Munich’s winning run.
The loss means both the two Bundesliga sides Bayern Munich and Borrusia Dortmund have lost their games this weekend as Dortmund lost 2-0 to Augsburg on Saturday, 26 September.
