Nyasa Big Bullets football team cemented its lead on the TNM super league standings. They defeated Blue Eagles football team 4-0 at the Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.
Blue Eagles lost on Saturday to Ntopwa football team and they looked dejected. Bullets took advantage of that and took control of the match.
In the 14th minute, Hassan Kajoke kicked a corner kick scoring the first goal of the match. Two minutes later Righteous Banda scored the second goal.
Three minutes before the break, Mike Mkwate scored the third goal for the TNM super league defending champions. This was after a good interchange of passes between Chimwemwe Idana, Gomezgani Chirwa and Patrick Phiri.
In the second half, Nyasa Big Bullets put the game beyond the 2018 Airtel top 8 champions reach. Hasaan Kajoke completed his brace of the afternoon when he took his goals in the league to 16. This is 2 fewer goals to Silver Striker’s hitman Khuda Muyawa.
After the game, Bullets head coach Callisto Pasuwa was happy for his side to register a win.
“It is a comfortable win but we took advantage of our opponents who were tired after playing on Saturday. I am happy the boys responded well to our plan that we have won the match”, he said.
Bullets still lead the super league with 55 points from 25 games.
In another match played at the Chitowe stadium, Be Forward Wanderers football club were 2-0 winners against Dwangwa united.
Harry Nyirenda opened the scoring for the Lali Lubani side before Vincent Nyangulu came on as a substitute. He scored nomads second of the afternoon and cemented their stay on position 2 with 54 points from 25 games.
At the Karonga stadium, Savenda Chitipa United won 2-0 against Mlatho Mponela. Thanks to goals from Kelvin Mwakapenda and Khumbo Ng’ambi through a penalty.
Silver Strikers collected maximum points against Kamuzu Barracks football club at the Civo stadium. Michael Teteh’s goal moved the team to third with 50 points from 28 games. These were played while TN Stars football club and Moyale Barracks football club shared points at the Kasungu stadium after it ended 1-1. China Chirwa scored for the home side before Wacheta Mwenefumbo equalised for the soldiers.
