Benard Morrison strike guaranteed second place in the league standings


Yanga Sports Club managed to go ahead of Azam Football Club in the Vodacom Premier League standings following their latest win over Kagera Sugar at Kaitaba Stadium.

Yanga Sports Club’s only goal was registered by Ghanaian winger Benard Morrison following a great assist pass from Congolese striker David Molinga on the last minutes.

Following the away win against Kagera Sugar, Yanga Sports Club now has 64 points, with two points clear ahead of Azam Football Club with 62 points.

Although Yanga Sports Club has one more game ahead of Azam Football Club, since they played their 34th match, Azam Football Club is yet to play their 34th match in the Vodacom Premier League.

At Forth place in the league standings, Namungo Football Club failed to go ahead of Azam Football Club as well after their goalless fixture against Simba Sports Club at Majaliwa Stadium.

Namungo Football Club is two points behind and one match ahead of the third-place Azam Football Club.
