Bright start for Chelsea and Wolves

Chelsea has started the 2020/21 English premier league season in fine form with a convincing 3-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Monday at the Falmer stadium.

Having spent a lot of money in the transfer window, the blues coach Frank Lampard gave chance to Kai Harvertz and Timo Werner to be in the starting team as they searched for the season’s first win in the first half.

Despite a sloppy start in the first half, Chelsea were 1-0 up at half time against Brighton thanks to a Jorginho’s 23rd minute converted a penalty after debutant Werner was fouled in the box by Ryan.

In the second half, the home side equalized power with Chelsea in the 54th minute when Trossard saw his long-range shot kiss the back of the net but 2 minutes later the visitors were in front again after Chelsea’s right-back James strike from 25 yards.

With time ticking on the clock, defender Zouma gave comfort to Lampard and ensured they collected maximum points when he scored a volley to win the match 3-1.

In another match at the Bramall Lane, 2 goals in the opening 6 minutes ensured Wolves defeat Sheffield united.

Raul Jimenez opened the scoring in the 3rd minute when he connected home a Podence cross before Saiss made it 2-0 three minutes later when he headed home a corner kick from Neto.
