Malawi national football team midfielder Yamikani Chester says he is ready to play for his new club Las Vegas Lights football club which plays in the United States championship and is set to kick off in August after the lockdown restrictions have been lifted.
The former Be Forward Wanderers versatile winger, sealed a three years deal with Czech Republican side MFK Vsykov in 2018 which loaned him to North Carolina football club in the United States in 2019 for a year.
His parent club has loaned him again to Las Vegas Lights football club for a year long season deal and speaking in an interview, the 25 years old midfielder said he is happy as lockdown restrictions have been lifted off with football expected to return soon.
“It has been a very difficult time for me as I was just staying home without playing football but with the lockdown restrictions lifted and teams given the rights to train in small groups, I am very happy.
“I came here to play football and I earn a living through football and I am excited to play for the new club and I will work hard as I always do to earn a position in the starting team,” he said.
