The newly appointed executive committee for TNM super league club Civil service united led by chairman Victor Lungu is expected to hold it’s first ever meeting on Friday to map the way forward on how the club will be run in the coming season.
Last month, the Office of President and Cabinet (OPC) which sponsors the club announced the appointment of Mr Lungu and George Chande as Chairman and treasurer general respectively with Ronald Chiwawula reappointed as general secretary for the civil servants to complete the executive committee which has 10 people.
Speaking in an interview general secretary Ronald Chiwawula said the meeting is expected among other issues to appoint subcommittees to help the club run it’s other daily duties.
“We are having our first meeting on Friday since the appointments were made and among other issues to be discussed, we want to appoint subcommittees on finance, technical and marketing to help in running the affairs of the club which we feel will greatly help us achieve a number of things this coming season,” said Chiwawula.
The area 9 based club finished on position 5 during the 2019 TNM super league season and last won a trophy in 2015 when they lifted the FAM cup.
