Football Association of Malawi (FAM) through it’s transfer matching system manager Casper Jangale have asked clubs in the country not to work with football agent Prince Jere.
Jangale has made the remarks following Jere’s incident when dumped Malawi national football team midfielder Chikoti Chirwa in South Africa and has edged clubs to consult the FA before engaging with any agent.
“It feels sad that clubs in the country are still working with people who are not agents. The FA only recognises Felix Ngamanya, Jimmy Zakazaka and Mwayi Msungama as players agent,” Jangale said.
Prince Jere who claims to be a dynamic sports management agency from Italy has been coaxing players to leave the country as he has secured deals for them elsewhere with Malawi national football team and Kamuzu Barracks midfielder Chikoti Chirwa being the latest casualty.
Chirwa left the country last month with Prince Jere for South Africa who told him he secured a deal for him at Amazulu who later told him to try his luck at Royal Eagles football club.
According to the former Red Lions captain Prince Jere only used him and has asked players not to deal with him.
“Prince made fake papers for a number of teams that are looking for my services which was all lie and I have not signed any contract with any team in South Africa. He even left me stranded and Collins Fezah has been of help to me. This has happened to me and it should be a lesson to my fellow players not to work with Jere,” said Chikoti.
