One of the country’s sports analyst Kelvin Moyo has asked football coaches to embrace the culture of having managers who can help them in making a number of decisions.
Moyo made the remarks after Masters Security football club coach Jabilu Maliro complained that he has not been receiving his salary for a while now and does not know what the future holds for him.
“Since the team was relegated from the TNM super league last season, I don’t know the direction of the team as I have not been called by the owners of the club on what will happen next. On the other hand, I have not been receiving my salary which has made life difficult for me”, said Maliro.
According to Moyo, coaches play a big role in the game of football hence the need for them to consider having managers who can be guiding them.
“Most of the clubs in the country have problems with coaches because they don’t have managers and that they just sign any given contract without properly going through it. These problems can come to an end only if coaches start having managers who can guide them on different things of their coaching career,” said Moyo.
