Former Malawi national football team midfielder Joseph Kamwendo is frustrated with the spreading of coronavirus which has affected plans of his Joseph Kamwendo foundation.
Kamwendo launched his foundation to identify talent from young children in the remote areas of the country and expose them to super league clubs but according to the former Be Forward Wanderers players, it has been difficult for them to work due to the pandemic.
“As Joseph Kamwendo foundation we aimed at working with school-going children and since the suspension of schools and football in the country it has been difficult for us to do everything.
“It’s now more than three months since we launched the foundation which is a good thing to us as it’s a dream come true but we are not happy as we are not doing what we were intended to do but we hope when the coronavirus pandemic is over we should be able to identify talent,” said Kamwendo.
