Dwangwa United defeated Ntopwa football club 3-0 in a TNM super league match on Saturday at the Chitowe stadium.
The lakeshore giants who are enjoying a good run form quickly came to the party when the scored in the 6th minute through Peter Luhanga.
Ntopwa tried to search for an equalizer but Dwangwa was too good as Chifuniro Mpinganjira double the home side’s lead before the break.
In the second half, the sugarcane boys continued displaying good football that game Ntopwa no chance.
Midway through the second half Chifuniro Mpinganjira completed his brace to bury the game and ensure Dwanga collect maximum point.
After the match Dwangwa united coach Radwel Mbetewa applaused his boys for the character they are showing.
“Am happy with how my boys are playing as we able to correct maximum points. Today they did it as well and if this continues am sure we will survive in the super league”, he said.
Ntopwa technical director Isaac Jomo Osman said
” We admit we have lost to a good side but we gave them a good game. We need to talk to the boys that this should not let us down as we try to fight relegation “.
In the second round of the super league, Dwangwa united has played five games winning four and drawing once.
The win moves Dwangwa to position 10 with 21 points from 20 games. Ntopwa are still in the relegation zone on position 14 with 17 points from 20 games.
The two sides will face each other again in the preliminary round of the lucrative FISD challenge cup.
