Police headquarters side Blue Eagles football club has closed it’s doors for Be Forward Wanderers who wanted the services of midfielder Vitumbiko Kumwenda before the start of the 2020 season.
The three days negotiations which the two teams had proved that it was not a success for the nomads to take Kumwenda to Lali Lubani as their account had a short fall despite the 2019 FISD challenge cup champions willing to release the player.
Eagles pegged the midfielder at K8 million and upon negotiations between the two sides, the price was slashed to K3.5 million which wanderers have failed to pay for the player as they had a short fall of K500 000 which Eagles refused to be played later.
In a statement released by the club, they feel the transfer has failed and will not be open for further negotiations with the nomads over a possible move for Kumwenda.
“Blue Eagles FC Chairman Alexander Ngwala has disbanded the group that was representing Blue Eagles FC in the player’s transfer negotiations. Three days was enough to complete the transaction, a thing which Be Forward Wanderers has failed”
“In very clear terms, the transfer has failed. Even if Be Forward Wanderers come with the remaining figure now, there won’t be anybody to give it to,”the statement reads.
