Ntopwa football club has announced that the team will regroup on 3 February 2020 to start preparations for the new season at Bangwe youth centre ground.
Owner and technical director of the club Isaac Jomo Osman confirmed the development saying despite the fact that they survived relegation the earlier the better for them to start preparations.
“I can confirm that the team will regroup early next month ahead of the new season to start in April. Despite the team’s good run of form toward the end of last season but that does not mean we should relax,” he said.
Osman further said the team is regrouping early to try and find replacements of some players who were on loan from other clubs in case their parent clubs will need them.
“We had two players from Nyasa Big Bullets and two as well from Be forward Wanderers on loan at our club. We are not sure if they will want them for the new season that’s why we are even welcoming new players who want to try their luck with us so that we find readily available replacements for the on-loan players in case their parent clubs want them back,” said Osman.
The TNM super league champions Nyasa Big Bullets loaned out Goalkeeper Richard Chimbamba and striker Davie Banda while their Blantyre base arc rivals, Be Forward Wanderers had midfielders Chikondi Kamanga and Richard Rabson with the Amaghetto kids that survived relegation in the debut season of the super league and finished on 11th position with 35 points.
