Malawi national football team assistant coach Lovemore Fazili says they are considering calling into camp Silver Strikers hitman Khuda Muyawa for the team’s next assignment.
Muyawa has helped his side win this year’s Airtel top 8 and currently leads the chase for the TNM super league golden boot with 15 goals together with Babatunde Adepoju.
In his statement flames assistant coach said Muyawa’s current form has made the technical panel to considered him.
“Khuda Muyawa seems to how rediscovered himself and is scoring goals. As a national team it has been difficult for us to score goals in the past games. We feel him together with the other guys can work together”, Fazili said.
Fazili further said that Muyawa is not guaranteed a place in the starting team.
“As any other player in the team, no one is guaranteed a place in the starting team. Everyone works hard to be in the team and we expect him to fight for a place once called into camp”, he said.
The former Moyale Barracks football club striker last played for the Flames in May this year when the team faced Eswatin in CHAN qualifiers.
The flames are expected to play South Sudan next month in the 2021 African cup of Nations qualifiers as they are in group B with Burkina Faso and Uganda.
