Veteran goalkeeper, Juma Kaseja makes a return to the national team for the first time in six years.
He is hoping to guide the team to a good outing against the Harambee Stars. Tanzania against Kenya is one of famously known African football match rivalry.
Juma Kaseja is now a senior goalkeeper playing for Kinondoni Municipal Counsel Football Club for the second season.
“I am very happy to rejoin the national team. As a senior goalkeeper I knows the task that awaits us ahead of the game, but we will give our best to win,”. Kaseja who made his debut for Tanzania in 2002, and was last called to the Taifa Stars in 2013.
During Charles Mkwasa’s era of managing National team, Mkwasa appointed Mbwana Samatta to be team captain.
Mkwasa selected John Bocco to be captain National team during Mapinduzi Cup 2016.
It is John Bocco’s first time to captain Tanzania nation team. In 2015, Bocco captained Tanzania mainland national team (Kilimanjaro Stars) in the Challenge Cup that took place in Ethiopia.
