The 2019/20 Italian Serie A came to an end for some teams on Saturday but it was a bad day for the already crowned champions Juventus who finished the campaign with a 3-1 loss against Roma at the Allianz stadium.
The champions started the match on fire as they took the lead in the first 5 minutes through Gonzalo Higuain but Roma cancelled the lead before the half-hour mark through Kalinic before seeing themselves in front just before the break when Perotti scored from the penalty spot.
In the second half, Roma put the game beyond reach for the champions when Perotti completed his brace to hand Juventus back to back losses towards the end of the season having also lost 2-0 against Cagliari in their previous match.
Juventus has been crowned as champions of the 2019/20 season after collecting 83 points while Roma has finished on 5th position with 70 points.
At the Atleti Azzurri d’italia, Inter Milan defeated Atalanta 2-0 to ensure they finish on 2nd position thanks to goals from D’Ambrosio and Ashley Young. Atalanta has finished on 3rd position with 78 points while Inter Milan is in the second position with 82 points.
In another match, Napoli defeated Lazio 3-1 to defeat them a chance for a top 3 finishing after Atalanta failed to collect maximum points.
Napoli which has finished the season on 7th position with 62 points got the goals through Ruiz, Insigne and Politano while Immobile scored the consolation goal for Lazio which has finished on 4th position.
At the Giuseppe Meazza, AC Milan were 3-0 winners over Cagliari thanks to an own goal from Klavan before Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Samu Castillejo scored a goal each for AC Milan to finish on 6th position with 66 points while Cagliari has finished on 13th position.
Already relegated Brescia, shared points with Sampdoria after it ended 1-1.
The last round of matches in the 2019/20 Serie A season will be played on Sunday with much focus being on Genoa and Lecce who are flight for relegation as a point separate the two teams on the standings and on position 17 and 18 respectively.
