Coach Oscar Kaunda has quited Civil Sporting Club and has joined Be Forward Wanderers Football Club as an assistant coach and has signed a two years deal and the suspended Bob Mpinganjira is back at the to take his duties as head coach.
Bob Mpinganjira was suspended together with Allan Kamanga and Yasin Osman who were assistant coach and technical director respectively after supporters called for the change of the technical panel due to the teams poor run of form with just two games in the 2019 season.
Wanderers general secretary Mike Butao said Bob has been brought back after they had talks with him and agreed on new conditions and we feel the made decisions will help the team to regain his good run of form.
“We officially released Yasmin Osman and Allan Kamanga while Bob Mpinganjira was on suspension.
“We had a talk with Bob as we saw to it that he was priotising national team duties as if he is on secondment at Wanderers but we have a new ultimaturm which he has agreed to that’s why he is back at the club.
“We have brought Oscar Kaunda as he has a proven record of delivering good results where he goes and is strict on discipline “, Butao said.
Speaking in an interview Bob Mpinganjira confirmed he is back at the Lali Lubani after agreeing to new conditions.
“We had a meeting where I have committed myself to wanderers and I think the COSAFA tournament will be my last assignment with the nation team “, Mpinganjira said.
Kaunda who also coached Karonga United Football Club said
“I have indeed agreed a deal with Wanderers . I know it’s a tough task but in this life it is good to take up challenges,”
Bob Mpinganjira and his deputy Oscar Kaunda will have to take over coaching role at Be Forward Wanderers from Albert Mpinganjira who was on interim basis as coach after they suspended the technical panel two weeks ago.
