Malawi national football team and Nyasa Big Bullets football club captain John Lanjesi is expected to resume light training at his club today after sustaining an injury while with the national team.
The influential defender suffered a hamstring injury when the flames were preparing for the COSAFA tournament and was given two weeks to recovery which made him miss the flames trip to Durban, South Africa.
Lanjesi has confirmed he expect to start light training on Tuesday as the team regroup this week.
“Fortunately it was not serious. It was just a muscle strain.
“I expect to start light training on Tuesday and I expect to bounce back next week but that will depend on the doctors assessment “, he said.
