Manchester united relied on extra time converted penalty by Bruno Fernandez to defeat the resilient Brighton 3-2 and collect their first three points of the season.
Manchester united looked like they were in trouble at the stadium as Brighton seemed to be too good for the visitors but the home side was just unlucky to hit the post three times just in the first half which ended 1-1 with Maupay giving the home side the advantage before an own goal from Dunk equalled power by half time.
In the second half, United took the lead just after 10 minutes of playing through Marcus Rashford who saw his left footed strike kiss the net giving hope to united to bag maximum points. During the extra time of the game the home side equalised before Manchester united scored a last minute penalty.
The home side was just unlucky when they did not win the match as they were a better side after hitting the post five times in the match.
In another match, Everton continued with their 100% winning record in the season as they defeated Crystal Palace 2-1.
Coming from defeating Manchester united in their previous league match, the eagles had high hopes of doing fine in the match but goals from Calvert-Lewin and a penalty from Richardson gave Everton the win as the goal from Kouyate was not enough to rescue Crystal Palace from the jaws of Everton.
At Hawthorn stadium, Chelsea showed the fighting spirit as they came from 3 goals down to force a draw against Wes Brom.
The home side were in front just after 4 minutes of play when Robinson saw his strike kiss the net before completing his brace 21 minutes later before Bartley made it 3 for the home side which dejected Chelsea to be trailing 3-0 at half time.
In the second half, Chelsea gave themselves hope of a possible come back when they pulled one back in the 55th minute through Mason Mount who shot from a distance before Hudson-Odoi scored the second time for the visitors.
Just when everyone thought Wes Brom will collect their first three points of the season against Chelsea, Tammy Abraham equalised in stoppage time when he scored from close range for Chelsea to return to Stamford Bridge with a point.
