The people of Africa tend to be religious. Africa is a continent rich in diversity when it comes to religious beliefs. A majority of the inhabitants of Africa follow Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism or other more traditional African religions. Only a small number of Africans do not consider themselves to be religious.
- As of 2008, South Africa consumed the most electricity per person (4,759.5kW/h) in Africa. Ethiopia has the least consumption (42.3 kW/h).
- 21 per cent of SSA nations have one or two products accounting for their total exports. Most of these exports are in the form of agricultural produce.
- The richest SSA country in terms of Gross National Income (GNI) per capita in Equatorial Guinea. This is 83 times higher than that of Zimbabwe which is the poorest in terms of GNI per capita.
