Masters Security football club failed to show in Blantyre to fulfil their midweek fixture in the TNM super league against Tigers and Ntopwa football clubs.
Masters who are already relegated from the elite league have been hit by financial problems throughout the season. The team’s general secretary Christopher Njewula confirmed that it was the main challenge for the team’s failure to fail to travel to Blantyre.
“We failed to show up for our game in Blantyre against Tigers on Wednesday and against Ntopwa on Thursday because we are facing financial problems. This made it difficult for us to arrange transport in good time so that the team could travel from Lilongwe to Blantyre to play our last two games of the season”, Njewula said.
Failure for the 2018 calsberg cup champions to show up at the Kamuzu stadium granted Tigers and Ntopwa football clubs free maximum points.
