As the 2020 football season is yet to kick off due to the corona virus pandemic, clubs have taken advantage of it to continue signing players. The latest transfer being of Chikondi Mbeta who has joined TNM super league side Chitipa United from southern region football association league side Nyasa Big Bullets reserve.
Mbeta was spotted by Dedza dynamos officials who linked him to try his luck at Chitipa united which managed to survive relegation during their debut season in the elite league last year where the former Bullets reserve player impressed them.
Speaking after completing the move, Mbeta who failed to impress police headquarters side Blue Eagles where he went for trials before joining the northern region based club said he is happy as he will play in the super league this season.
“I played for bullets reserve last season and some people saw my potential to play in the elite league and now I have signed for Chitipa united football club and it feels good as I will play in the elite league this season,” he said.
The former Bullets reserve player also said it is his wish to play for one of the big clubs in the country and will work hard at his new club.
“Every player wants to play for Bullets as it’s one of the big clubs in the country and that goes with time and luck and I believe no one can block what’s from God. So if God made it that I will play for Bullets that will come to pass in future. For now, I will just have to work hard at my new club,” he said.
