Malawi Defence Force (MDF) teams are expected to welcome back a number of players that have completed a six months military training at Malawi Armed Forces College (MAFCO) which is a big boost to the teams ahead of the new season yet to kick off.
The military training started in November 2019 with pass out scheduled for Friday 5th of June 2020, will see among other football players former Blue Eagles football club midfielder Gregory Nachipo and former Civo sporting club and Malawi under 20 national football team goalkeeper Hastings Banda heading to join Kamuzu Barracks.
The 2016 TNM super league champions will also welcome Sam Gunda, Sammy Chiponda and Hastings Banda while their northern region based brothers in arms football club Moyale Barracks are to welcome back goalkeeper Simion Harawa and Walusungu M’doka.
Red Lions and MAFCO football clubs who are to play in the top flight league this season having a player in the southern region football association and central region football association leagues respectively in 2019, have not been left behind as they expect the home coming of a number of players.
The Zomba based Red Lions, will welcome former Blantyre united, Tigers and Be Forward Wanderers goalkeeper Nenani Juwawo, Frank Mussa, Stevie Mussa and Matthews Banda as MAFCO expect the home coming of Joseph Donsa and Blessings Phiri.
