Henry Misanjo has cut short his stay at MZUNI Football Club as he want to look for a club that will sustain his career.
Misanjo who has been at the Mzuzu based team since 2015 said he has opted to terminate his contract as its not clear as to whether the Mzuzu University sponsored team will play in the Super league this year or not .
“I have terminated my contract with the club as the future of the team looks uncertain and I have been cleared by MZUNI that now am a free agent ready to play for any team that will want my services but I am not under pressure to commit my future with team as I leave everything in the hands of my manager Miliyasi Jegwe to see how we can land a better deal”, said Misinjo.
MZUNI Football Club was promoted into the super league in 2015 season and now it remains uncertain if the club will play in the elite league this year after the University’s council instructed the team to only use players who are students of the University a thing which brought disagreements leading to the Council making another decision of withdrawing sponsorship for the team.
In a similar development, striker Khumbo N’gambi has committed his future to super league rookies Chitipa United.
N’gambi who previously played for Be Forward Wanderers and was the Airtel top 8 top goal scorer in 2017, has signed a one and half year contract with the club a development confirmed by Chitipa United’s official Pickford Kamanga.
“Khumbo N’gambi is now our player as he has signed a contract with us and he is a good talent young start we feel will help the team achieve it’s dream of wanting to survive in the Super league in its debut season”, Kamanga said.
Chitipa United will play in the 2019 TNM Super League after they were crowned champions of the Northern Region Football Association League in 2018.
