Royale Barracks and Mzuni football clubs collected maximum points in their first away TNM super league games played on Saturday.
The Kaning’ina based soldiers relied on a first half goal from Gastin Msimkonda to defeat Tigers football club 1-0 at the Mulanje Park stadium to keep high their molare in camp before facing the 2018 Airtel top 8 finalist on Sunday.
The soldiers who have played 29 games are on position 6 with 42 points level on points with Kamuzu Barracks but the later have a better goal difference while Tigers football club is on 9th position with 35 points from 29 games.
At the Civo stadium, Mzuni football club defeated Civil Sporting club 2-1 to keep alive their hopes of surviving relegation.
Gift Kasambara and Steve Mandiba scored for the visitors with Innocent Tanganyika scoring the consolation for Civil Sporting club which has finished the season on 5th position having played 30 games and has 44 points.
Mzuni which has also finished the season, is on position 12 with 32 points but awaits the result of Dwangwa United’s last game to see if they will survive relegation.
Savenda Chitipa United manage to collect a point against Dwangwa United at the Karonga stadium. The visitors were first to score through Chifuniro Mpinganjira before Charles Chipala equalised for the home side.
