Muthalika fulfill promise to Bullets and Wanderers

President of the Republic of Malawi Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika keeps his promise as the buses he promised two Blantyre based football clubs, Nyasa Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers have been delivered.

Mutharika made the pledge a few weeks ago at Nyambadwe primary school ground when he launched the commencement of the construction work of stadiums for the two clubs.

Speaking after receiving the bus on Thursday, Nyasa Big Bullets football club managing director Fleetwood Hayiya thanked the president for living up to his promise.

“As Bullets, we are very thankful to the president for the timely gift as we were struggling in terms of transport that we were planning to buy ourselves a bus. Now we have been relieved as we have our own reliable transport,” he said.

On the other hand, their rival camp Be Forward Wanderers football club through general secretary Victor Maunde said, “We are very happy as the president has fulfilled his promise which is a big privilege to the club. This bus will help us a lot to reduce some expenses in terms of transport in the forthcoming season.”
