Silver Strikers Football Club striker Khuda Muyaba is on suspension after he made a statement that coach Lovemore Fazili who is coach for the central bankers and an assistant coach for the Malawi national football team contributed to him not been called into camp for national team duty.
The former Moyale Barracks Football Club striker made the statement after his name got missing on the list of 34 players to go into camp for the Flames last week in preparation for the COSAFA tournament and the striker opted to make himself unavailable for his club’s weekend fixtures against Mzuni Football Club and Masters Security Football Club.
An official from the central bankers Mr Chando said the player is in suspension after he decided not to be part of the team during last weekend’s TNM super league games.
“The player is on suspension as he decided to make himself unavailable for last weekends games and we should meet over the weekend as the executive committee to look into the matter critically and see what punishment can be given to the player “, he said.
On the other hand, Malawi national football team coach Kinnah Phiri who helped Khuda Muyaba in securing a deal with the area 47 side says the player needs to be talked to as no player is bigger than a club.
“No player is bigger than a club and if there are problems the two parties need to sit down and resolve them because Khuda relies on football for his living and he is a good player and I will need to talk to him “, Phiri said.
Khuda Muyawa joined Silver Strikers last year after announcing his retirement from Malawi Defense Force ( MDF) where he was a soldier and was a playing for Moyale Barracks Football club .
