One of the aspiring candidates for the December Football Association of Malawi (FAM) elections James Mwenda has launched his manifesto as he aims for the FA presidency.
At a colourful ceremony held at Bingu international conventional center the current FAM first vice president said once voted into office he will work with all stakeholders to improve the sport.
“Once voted into office, I will work together with any stakeholder to improve the sport in the country. Their is need for us as a country to have projects that can take the sport to greater nights and not going by a persons manifesto”, he said in his manifesto, Mwenda has among other thing hinted that he will negotiate sponsorship to a minimum of k250 million per year, link super league teams with potential sponsors and provide super league teams with seed money.
Mwenda will contest for the FA’s top position in December against the incumbent president Walter Nyamilandu, Balawala Vingula, Moses Mkandawire and chairman for TNM super league side Karonga United, Alufeyo Chipanga.
