President John Magufuli has sworn in several new ambassadors for Tanzania.
Modestus Kipilimba, the former boss at the Tanzania Intelligence Security Services ( TISS) was sworn in as Tanzania’s ambassador to Namibia alongside Dr Benson Bana who will represent Tanzania in Nigeria.
Rtd Major General Gaudence Milanzi will be the new ambassador of Tanzania in South Africa.
Professor Emmanuel David Mwaluko Mbena is the new Tanzanian ambassador to Zimbabwe where he is expected to renew business deals despite the international sanctions imposed by the west on Zimbabwe.
The swearing was conducted in Windhoek and was attended by Tanzania’s Foreign Minister Professor Palamagamba Kabundi who reminded the new diplomats of their onerous duty as Tanzania’s representatives on foreign soil.
Professor Kabundi reminded the new ambassador to South Africa to do his best to ensure that South Africans learn Kiswahili.
