A goalless draw has settled a highly contested TNM super league Blantyre derby played at the Kamuzu stadium on Saturday.
With the stadium almost to capacity, Bullets were quick to settle in the game. Midfielder Mike Mkwate combined well with Peter Banda and Patrick Phiri giving problems to the Lali Lubani side.
The peoples team failed to break the dead rock as they kept shooting wide of Wanderers goal. Wanderers goalkeeper Nenani Juwayo saved his side as he cleared dangerous ball for the first half to end with no goals.
In the second half Wanderers leveled their game as they pressurised Bullets. Francisco Madinga , Francis Mkonda and Alfred Manyozo lead attacking moves for the 2018 FISD cup winners but Bullets defence stood film.
After 90 minutes the two sides shared the spoils to the delight of Wanderers coach Bob Mpinganjira.
“It was a difficult game but a draw is a fair result. We didn’t play in the first half. We were very flat. But after talking to the boys they came into the game that’s why we pressured them in the second half”, he said.
On the other hand coach for Nyasa Big Bullets, Calitso Pasuwa said.
” As a coach I expected all the points but a draw is equally a vital point.
This was the fourth time for the two sides to meet this year. Each team has won once with the other two ending in a draw.
