Masters Security football club has bowed out of the CAF confederations cup following a goalless draw against Proline football club in the second leg of the preliminary round.
Masters Security went into the match 3 goals down having lost the first leg two weeks ago in Uganda and failed to utilize hone ground advantage.
The 2018 Calsberg cup winners were a better side on the afternoon as they created chances but their front line lead by Mussa Manyenje kept misfiring.
The visitors managed to withstand Masters Security pressure to progress to the next round of the competition on a 3-0 aggregate.
After the match Masters Security coach Abasi Makawa said the team was just unlucky.
“We played well and created a lot of chances which we failed to convert into goals. The same with what happed to us in Uganda.
“Its important for Malawian teams to participate in competitions like these as it helps to expose our players”, said Makawa.
