Former Silver Strikers football club midfielder Lazarous Deco Nyemera has written to the club demanding his benefits over the unlawful termination of his contract.
Nyemera joined the central bankers in 2018 from Mzuzu University football club and signed a three years deal which was to end on the 9th of January 2021. In January this year, with a year left to his contract, the midfielder together with 17 other players were shown the exit at the club which the midfielder describe as breach of contract.
In a letter addressed to the club, Nyemera demands to be paid the sum of K3,840,000 as the benefits that could have accrued to him for the remainder of his contract as he was receiving K320,000 as his monthly allowance and the area 47 based side should give him the money within seven day or he will seek legal action.
This comes at a time when the club was found at fault by the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) to have also breached the transfer agreement with Be Forward Wanderers over Nigerian striker Babatunde Adepoju whom the bankers wanted at their club but reversed the decision on the 11th hour after they had already sent an K8 million cheque to the bank for the completion of the deal.
