1893 (DRC) – Francis Dhanis’ army attacked the Lualaba and occupied Nyangwe (Congo).
1999 (DRC) – Congo rebels who served under Mobutu Sese Seko took the town of Bolobo, upstream from Kinshasa.

1984 – Fernando Torres is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for J1 League club Sagan Tosu and the Spain national team. Torres started his career with Atlético Madrid, progressing through their youth system to the first-team squad

World Day of the Fight Against Sexual Exploitation – Every year since 2009 the 4th of March has been designated as World Day of the Fight Against Sexual Exploitation. Although there are exceptions, sexual exploitation overwhelmingly involves women and children, and it is a problem of worldwide proportions.
