Tanzania football national team took 39 years to participate again in the African Cup of Nations.

Last time they participated they lost all three matches and scored only one goal, unlike this year’s tournament where they score two goals.

KRC Genk player and national team’s captain, Mbwana Samatta scored 1 goal as well as Simon Msuva, marking two goals for Tanzania.

Tanzania lost all three matches in the group stage and failed to get through to knockout stage. Mbwana Samatta shares how proud he is through his social media account.

“ It was our dream to see our team participate in the tournament, and we are happy for that. We know Tanzanians wanted our team to succeed, we wanted the same thing as players. We thanks the fans for their support, from the beginning. I want you to understand that, this was the lessons to us, we all learn something”

Mbwana Samatta had a great season campaign in Jupiter Pro league, as he finishes as top scorer.
