TNM super league defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets has added to their squad, strikers, Misheck Selemani and former Malawi national football team striker Zicco Mkanda as they prepare to start the 2020 season.
Selemani was playing for Karonga united and has signed a three years deal with Bullets that will see him at the club until 2023 while Mkanda has joined the people’s team as a free agent after being released by their arc rivals Be Forward Wanderers and has sealed a year long deal with the club.
Nyasa Big Bullets chief administrative officer Albert Chigoga has confirmed the coming in of the two players with the blessings of the technical panel.
“The technical panel has recommended the two players be part of the team this season that’s why we didn’t hesitate but to give them contracts before the start of the new season. This means we have three new players before we start the new season considering that Peter Banda has also made a permanent move to join us from Griffin young stars having signed a three years contract,” Chigoga said.
Chigoga also said Bullets will abandon their traditional red and white colour for home games in the new season and will adopt new colours which supporters should get used to.
“Traditionally Bullets is well known with the red and white colours when playing at home but this season it will be a different thing all together as we will be putting on the red and black Jersey when playing at home, white and red when playing away and using the pink and blank colours when playing in cup games. Our supporters need to adopt to this new colours as well,” he said.
In a related development, Malawi national football team defender Haji Wali has committed his future to capital city giants Silver Strikers after he signed a three years contract with the club.
