Civil Service United has opened up talks with four of its players to extend their stay at area 9 based club after the expiry of their contracts.
The four are former Silver Strikers and Be Forward Wanderers midfielder Blessings Tembo, former EPAC United goalkeeper Tione Tembo, Kelvin Tanganyika and Charles White. According to the club general secretary Ronald Chiwawula, a number of factors including contract negotiations with coach Franco Ndawa delayed negotiations with the players to extend their contracts.
“A number of things delayed us to open up negotiations with the players for them to sign contracts that will make them to still be at the club. We were supposed to finalise talks with coach Franco Ndawa about his contract so that he gives us a list of players he wants to work with, in the new season. So the coach wants the players to stay and we have already started negotiations with them,” said Chiwawula.
