Spanish side Sevilla took it late to defeat Wolves 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the 2019/20 Europa league at the MSV Arena to see themselves into the last 4 of the tournament.

The 5 times winners of the Europa champions league escaped Wolves scare in the 13th minute when Raul Jimenez failed to convert a penalty spot-kick after a brilliant counter-attacking run by Adama Traore which saw Carlos bringing him down in the box.

Sevilla then dominated possession of the match but failed to break through a well organised 5 men Wolves defence until the 88th minute when Ocampos headed home a Banega cross to win the match for Sevilla to the frustration of the English side.

In another match played at the Veltins Arena, Shakhtar Donetsk were 4-1 winners against Basal to progress to the semifinals of the tournament.

Shakhtar Donetsk took the lead in as early as the 2nd minute of the match through Moraes before Taison double the lead 20 minutes later for the Ukrainian side to lead 2-0 at the break.

In the second half, the match was put beyond Basel’s reach when the Ukrainian side scored the third goal in the 75th minute from the penalty spot through Alan Patrick before Dodo added his name on the score sheet in the last minutes of the game.

Van Wolfswinkel scored the consolation goal for Basel in added minutes when Shakhtar Donetsk had already grabbed the semifinals ticket.
The win sees Sevilla through to the last 4 of the tournament and will face Manchester United while Shakhtar Donetsk and Inter Milan date in the other semifinals.
