Be forward wanderers football club chairman Symon Sikwese has commended the club’s supporters for their idea of contributing K100 million monthly to be used in running the affairs of the club.
Wanderers supporters chairman Mervin Mkunika earlier this week announced the need for the fans to raise k100 million monthly which can be raised if 1 million fans contribute k100 each.
Sikwese said the fans have brought forth a good idea but there is need to put in place good measures that will insure transparency in everything that is done at the club.
“I am happy that Wanderers supporters thought of the need to support the club financially as we are close to losing our sponsorship deal with Be forward but there is a need for us as a club to sit down and put in place transparency measures as the fans also want to see how their money is being spent. If we handle the funds from the supporters well, we can motivate them to contribute a lot of money and even motivate some companies to be interested in sponsoring the club,” he said.
