Silver end season with win as Ntopwa move to safe zone

Silver Strikers football club ended the 2019 season on a high after defeating Savenda Chitipa United 3-0. This was in a TNM super league match played at the Silver Stadium on Monday.

Silver Strikers went into the match relying on the experience of former Moyale Barracks football club striker Khuda Muyaba who netted a hat trick. He took his goals tally to 21 this season.

The win takes them to the 3rd position in the standings with 53 points from 30 games. Savenda Chitipa united is on position 12 with 31 points from 29 games.

At the Kamuzu Stadium, Ntopwa football club won over Karonga United.

The Amaghetto kids scored first in the first half through Richard Rabson before Khumbo Msowoya equalised for the visitors.

In the second half, Ishmael Chikwata and Mphatso Magaleta scored a goal each to ensure Ntopwa moved to position 11 with 32 points from 29 games. Karonga United is above Ntopwa with 34 points from 28 games.

At the Mzuzu Stadium, Collins Nkhulambe was a hero as he scored a brace for Mzuni to defeat Masters Security football club 2-0.

The win moves Mzuni a step above the relegation zone with 29 points from 29 games.  Masters Security is on position 16 with 20 points from 28 games. They are putting a threat on three central region teams, Masters Security, Mlatho Mponela and Dwangwa United who are all in the relegation zone.
