As clubs are busy on the transfer marker before kickoff of the 2020 season, Silver Strikers has approached Civil United for defender Nickson Mwase.
The central bankers have been busy on the transfer market since they started training with their new Zambian tactian Daniel Kabwe two weeks ago as they want to build a strong team able to challenge for trophies this year.
In January 2020, the 2019 Airtel top 8 champions released 18 players and has also closed doors for it’s former players such as Lucky Malaya, Blessings Tembo and Charles Swini who wanted to make a return to the reserve bank sponsored side.
Civil United general manager Ronald Chiwawula confirmed they were approached by their capital city rivals for Mwase.
“Silver Strikers has knocked on our door for the services of Nickson Mwase and we have given them a go ahead to start negotiations with the player since they have followed all the necessary procedures,”said Chiwawula.
Chiwawula further said the servants are not shaken that Mwase who was a regular for the club last year will leave and they might fail to find his replacement.
“History has it that Civil United is well known for developing players in the country and we need not to stop players opportunities because once you have players who are not willing to play for the club, you don’t get required results. So If he leaves the club, we will find his rightful replacement,” he said.
Civil united has produced players who have proved to go as far as playing for the national team such as Joseph Kamwendo, Righteous Banda, Emmanuel Zoya and John Lanjesi just to mention a few.
