As one way of their rebuilding exercise ahead of the new season, Silver Strikers football club has also released two midfielders Victor Limbani and Hygiene Mwenepeka after failing to impress the club’s new coach Daniel Kabwe.
The central bankers also released a total of 17 players last month and the exit of Limbani formerly of Big Bullets and Mwenepeka whom the bankers signed from Karonga United took the number to 19 a development confirmed by media officer David Daniel Dauda.
“The coach is assessing the players and has decided to release the two,” he said.
Speaking in an interview, Victor Limbani had confirmed receiving a communication that he is no longer in the teams plans for the new season.
“I have received communication that my services are no longer needed at the club. There is nothing I can do apart from looking for other opportunities to open before the new season kicks off,” said Limbani.
The central bankers are rebuilding to win the TNM super league this year which they won in 2012 and have so far signed goalkeeper Antony Singini, midfielder Chikondi Kamanga and two strikers Foster Bitoni and Stain Davie.
