Tanzania Premier league champions Simba Sports Club, announced that they will not be in Kagame Cup this year, the tournaments will be taking part in Rwanda.
Simba Sports Club through Crescentius Magori said the reasons for them to do so, it is the short time of preparation for the next season, because also some of their players are in the National team for AFCON.
He said their plan is to have six week for pre season camp, so Kagame Cup will interrupt their plans, as they focus on doing better in all competitions next season.
“We do plan to have six weeks for pre season camping outside the country, we target to do better in the international tournaments ‘CAF Champions League‘”
Said Magori and clarified that they already wrote the later to TFF ‘Tanzania Football Federation’ about their decision to pull off The Kagame Cup.
Even Yanga Sports Club, is not yet confirmed to participate in Kagame Cup, only the defending Champions Azam Football Club have approved that they will participate in the tournament.
