Spurs defeat Leicester City


As the 2020/21English Premier League (EPL) nears its end, teams are fighting for maximum points for them to finish the season on a good position.

On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur were 3-0 winners over Leicester City at Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Jose Mourinho started the game on a high as their pressure on the visitors paid off in the 6th minute when Leicester City defender Justin scored in his own net for the home side to be in front.

In the last ten minutes of the first half, Spurs striker Harry Kane scored a brace to put the game out of reach for the foxes who pulled up their game in the second half but the damage was already done that spurs collected maximum points.

Spurs has moved to 6th position with 58 points but has played a game more than Wolves and Sheffield united who have 56 and 54 points respectively and are both fighting for Europa League places.

Leicester City remains on 4th position with 62 points but might drop to 5th if Manchester United win their next fixture.
In another match, Southampton were 2-0 winners over Bournemouth in a match played at Vitality Stadium thanks to goals from Danny Ings and Adams.

The saints are on position 11 with 49 points while Bournemouth which is second from bottom with 31 points will be relegated if Watford wins their next match.
