All roads will this Sunday lead to the Kamuzu stadium as the Southern Region Football Association Chitetezo Mbaula League will come to an end with a battle between Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve and Ntopwa FC (2.30pm), a game which will see off the winner representing the region in the country’s top flight league.
Speaking to a local radio station, SRFA chairperson, Rafael Humba, said preparations to the big game are at an advanced stage and as an association they are happy with how the league has been run this year.
‘’ As SRFA we are happy with the kind of football teams in our league have displayed this season and that we feel we have managed to promote the product of our sponsor that we have made people know what Chitetezo Mbaula is’’, said Humba.
On the ground, Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve head coach Enosi Chatama said his players are all geared up for the big match and that they will rely on the services of their scoring machine Hasani Kajoke who has scored 38 goals and is tipped to win the golden boot.
The 2 teams will go into this match level on points as they have both collected 95 points from 41 games they have played with Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves . NBBR being on position 1 as they have a better goal difference of 90 against 52 of Mtopwa FC.
Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves will only have to draw to be crowned champions but Ntopwa FC will need an outright win to pocket the top prize.
The SRFA is the only regional league yet to produce a champion as Chitipa United and Mlatho Mponela are champions of the Simama Northern Region Football League and Chipiku Central Region Football League respectively.
